We left Ewyas Harold at about 8 am, with pick-ups at various places (including Temple Bar Inn at 7.35, Memorial Hall at 7.50). The coach sat all 40 of us comfortably. An easy drive to Holyhead included a good stop at a Garden Centre near Oswestry. We reached Holyhead in plenty of time for the 14.10 crossing to Dublin, on Irish Ferries's 'Ulysses'. The ferry was quite busy but we were all able to find comfortable seats and have a bite to eat. Fortunately, the crossing was smooth & uneventful. The trip from the harbour to the hotel, The Stillorgan Park Hotel, took us around the outskirts of Dublin rather than the shorter route that a map might have suggested but we got to the Hotel in good time, around 6pm. The Hotel and evening meal were fine.
